Welcome to HERstory Art In Motion: The Queendom Continues! Encore show, coming to the stage at the Columbus Africentric Early College!
HERstory Art in Motion is a part of Andrew Bell Performing Arts’ TRY-Arts series featuring live musical performances and dance. This original theatrical production written and produced by Michelle Jackson-Hartway acknowledges women who are legendary artists, such as; Billie Holiday, TLC, and Whitney Houston. It also introduces up and rising artists such as Blk Dwn.
This encore show is an extension of the second annual HERstory Art in Motion production addressing the tumultuous look at the impact of addiction, recovery and resilience. We will see how a faith filled grandmother‘s determination is challenged as she strives to keep her family together amidst the generational influence of chemical dependency.
Presented by a cast of professional artists; varying in dancers, actresses, recording artists and live musicians. Featuring multiple genres of dance; including Modern, House, African, and Hip hop.
